Terms of Use and Delivery

The online shop’s products are sold by the City of Turku (Business ID 0204819-8, VAT number FI02048198)

1. Registration and personal information

Registration is not required to place an order. The customer can choose to register, in which case their information is saved in the online shop's customer database. The City of Turku has the right to process the customer’s personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and other legislation. The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy statement (only in Finnish).

The username and password are personal. The customer is responsible for all use of their username and password, as well as any costs or fees that may be incurred as a result. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.


2. Order confirmation

Once an order has been received, an order confirmation will be sent to the email address provided by the customer. An email address must be provided in order to receive an order confirmation.

Tickets will be delivered as PDF files attached to an email. Tickets purchased in advance are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. The museum does not compensate for lost tickets or other related documents, and they cannot be reissued.

If the museum is unable to provide the service due to a force majeure event, the museum has the right to cancel the tickets. If the cancellation occurs due to reasons beyond the customer's control, the payment will be refunded to the customer in full.

By placing an order, the customer agrees to the terms of use and delivery of the online shop, as well as the specific terms related to the product being ordered.


3. Delivery

Shipping costs for tangible museum shop products are 5.90 € for all shipments within Finland. We reserve the right to send small shipments as letters to the address provided.

We use recycled materials for packaging whenever possible. The delivery time within Finland is typically 2–5 business days from receiving the order. We currently only deliver tangible products within Finland.

Delivery is provided by Finnish Post. Please check the package pickup period from the Posti website. If the pickup period expires, the shipment will be returned to the sender. We will charge new postage fees for reshipping.

Products can also be picked up from the museumshops of Turku Castle, Pharmacy Museum and the Qwensel House, or the Turku Biological Museum by selecting "pickup" as the delivery method at checkout. An email will be dispatched when purchased products are ready for pickup. Products can only be picked up during the museum's opening hours. We will store the items for 2 weeks from the pickup notification.


4. Prices

The prices listed are only valid for orders placed through the online shop and may differ from the prices at other sales points. The valid price is the one displayed at the time of ordering. The right to price changes is reserved. All listed prices include any applicable VAT. All prices are stated in euros. Shipping costs will be added to the prices of the products.

Tickets will be sent by email free of charge.


5. Payment

Products are paid for when ordering. Payments are processed through the Paytrail service. Paytrail provides netbank related payment transfer services in co-operation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. The payment recipient will be listed as Paytrail Oyj on your bank statement or card bill.
